Siding in Bryans Road
Bryans Road has grown fast along the Route 210 corridor — subdivisions filling in where there were fields, plus established neighborhoods with 80s and 90s housing stock. It is classic suburban Charles County: colonials and split-levels, HOAs in the newer sections, and a lot of original siding hitting replacement age.
What We See Here
The 80s and 90s subdivisions are the sweet spot for our work: original builder-grade siding that has served its time. Common findings are faded and brittle vinyl, aluminum siding dented beyond reasonable repair (common on the 80s homes), and flashing details that were code-minimum when installed. The good news: these are straightforward houses to re-side, with good access and predictable scopes.
Newer Homes
The 2000s-and-later builds are mostly in good shape, but we do see installation defects from the boom years — the most common being vinyl nailed too tight (buckling walls) and missing kick-out flashing at roof-wall intersections. If your relatively new home has siding issues, suspect installation before material.
